Aduro Clean Technologies Inc. (CSE: ACT) (OTCQX: ACTHF) (FSE: 9D50) recently released a video explaining and demonstrating it revolutionary plastic recycling solution, Hydrochemolytic™ technology (HCT). The company is in the process of commercializing HCT after years of development, and the video outlines several major advantages it has over legacy and even competing new technologies.
- The HCT technology filters out problematic resins and contaminants that hinder current approaches.
- HCT can process polypropylene, polyethylene, and polystyrene, which together make up 70% of municipal plastic waste. With only 10% of plasics currently recycled, this adaptibility is important on the road to a circular plastic economy.
- HCT produces a very high yield of valuable liquids from the plastic which can be used to create new plastics and a wide variety of other chemical products.
- The technology’s modular design is adaptable to applications of almost any size, from small remote locations to large municpalities and chemical plants.
Aduro is wrapping up its participation in the Shell GameChanger program, working with multi-national petrochemical companies as part of its customer engagement program, and preparing to build a commercial-scale pilot plant. With governments incentivizing investment in green technologies, Aduro’s commercialization of its paradigm-shifting plastic recycling technology seems very well timed.
