For emerging public companies it’s a pretty big deal which listing exchanges they use. From the lower levels of the OTC to the final destinations of the Nasdaq or NYSE, each graduation influences visibility, credibility, liquidity, analyst coverage, and access to capital. The same dynamic exists in Canada, from the Cboe and CSE on up to the TSX.

Aduro Clean Technologies (Nasdaq: ADUR) (TSX: ACT) (FSE: 9D5) has now completed its journey to the top in both the United States and its home country of Canada. Aduro originally listed on the Canadian Stock Exchange in 2021 and maintained a foreign-issuer OTC listing for a few years. In November 2024 the company debuted on the Nasdaq. And now, Aduro announced its stock trades as of May 27,2026 on Canada’s pinnacle, the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Why the TSX Matters

Many institutional investors, pension funds, mutual funds, and wealth management platforms have mandates that restrict investments in companies listed on smaller exchanges such as the CSE. A TSX listing can remove those barriers.

That means companies graduating to the TSX may suddenly become eligible for institutional capital flows, larger position sizes, broader analyst coverage, inclusion in institutional screening systems, and greater exposure to professional investors.

The TSX has stricter listing requirements around governance, financial standards, disclosure, and operational maturity. Graduating to the senior exchange sends a message to the market that a company has reached a higher level of development and operational sophistication. For investors, that added credibility can help reduce perceived risk.

Aduro’s Developmental Timing

For Aduro Clean Technologies, the timing of this move appears particularly significant.

The company operates in the rapidly growing clean technology and advanced recycling sector, an area that continues to attract increasing global attention as governments and industries search for scalable sustainability solutions.

Aduro’s Hydrochemolytic™ technology platform is focused on converting waste plastics, heavy oils, and renewable feedstocks into more valuable resources more effectively and efficiently than currently available systems. That positioning already gives the company exposure to several major long-term investment themes including plastic recycling innovation, circular economy infrastructure, energy transition technologies, and sustainable industrial processes. Now, with a TSX listing in place, the company may be able to tell that story to a much larger audience.

And rather than featuring an unproven but interesting technology in that story, Aduro is now able to talk about its near-term commercialization in the plastic recycling sector. Combined with its recent developments in the heavy crude oil industry, Aduro seems ripe for the larger stage that the TSX offers.

Just as Aduro’s listing on the Nasdaq elevated the company’s profile and fueled stock performance commensurate with the company’s push to commercialization, the move up to the TSX could add more fuel to the fire as the accessible investor audience for the story continues to grow.
