FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee has a meeting on July 23-24, 2026, where the PCAC will review a number of peptide compounds for potential inclusion on the Section 503A Bulk Drug Substances List. That is the framework that allows licensed compounding pharmacies to prepare compounds for individual patients under a physician’s prescription. The review follows the FDA’s April 2026 decision to remove several peptides from its prior Category 2 safety-concern designation, advancing it to a formal evidence-based review. Chief among them is BPC-157,
Body Protection Compound-157 (BPC-157) is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide originally derived from proteins found in human gastric juice. In preclinical research it has demonstrated compelling regenerative properties: promoting fibroblast activity, enhancing angiogenesis, modulating the nitric oxide system, and accelerating the healing of tendons, ligaments, muscle, nerves, and gastrointestinal tissue. Clinicians in functional medicine are using it for everything from tendon injuries and joint pain to gut repair and post-surgical recovery.
Should the FDA committee recommend inclusion on the 503A list the decision could impact a few public companies that have prepared for the possibility. In this video, small cap investor Mariusz Skonieczny highlights three companies ready to pounce: Hims & Hers Health (NYSE: HIMS), market cap ~$8.5 billion; Enhanced Group (NYSE: ENHA), market cap ~$340 million; and The Precision Peptide Company (OTCQB: PNGAF), market cap ~$17 million.
