LaFleur Minerals (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) controls a fully permitted, recently refurbished gold processing mill in Quebec’s Abitibi Gold Belt, sits on a growing multi-hundred thousand ounce gold deposit approximately 50 kilometers away, and is funded to begin restarting production. At roughly a C$40 million market capitalization, LaFleur combines a fully permitted processing mill, a growing gold resource and a funded production strategy at a valuation that compares favorably with the independently assessed replacement cost of the mill alone.

The Beacon Gold Mill

Let’s start with the Beacon Gold Mill. Following Monarch Mining’s restructuring, the Beacon Gold Mill in Val-d’Or, Quebec, became available, creating a rare acquisition opportunity. LaFleur moved quickly, acquiring the fully permitted 750 tonne-per-day cyanidation facility in October 2024 for total consideration of just C$1.1 million: C$250,000 in cash and the remainder in shares.

Monarch had invested approximately C$20 million upgrading the mill as recently as 2022, meaning LaFleur acquired a recently modernized facility at roughly five cents on the dollar. An independent valuation completed by Bumigeme Inc. assessed the replacement cost of the Beacon Gold Mill and its tailings facility at approximately C$71.5 million, with refurbishment and restart costs estimated at C$4.1 million. For a little over C$5 million, LaFleur is preparing to restart a wholly owned processing facility that would cost more than C$70 million to replace today.

The company strengthened its balance sheet with financings totaling C$18.8 million in January and June 2026, providing the capital required to complete commissioning of the Beacon Gold Mill for production at its initial 750 tonne-per-day capacity. LaFleur recently announced that the mill is 84% complete, with staged production expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

In the same announcement, LaFleur reported that the due diligence period for negotiating a term sheet with Trafigura has been extended into August. Trafigura, one of the world’s largest metals and commodities traders, is evaluating a proposed C$30 million financing and offtake agreement. The financing would fund an expansion of Beacon’s processing capacity to 1,250 tonnes per day, while granting Trafigura a right of first refusal to finance future expansions into the 3,000-4,000 tonne-per-day range. Equally important, the proposed offtake agreement would provide LaFleur with a guaranteed purchaser for its gold production at prevailing market prices.

The Swanson Gold Deposit

The Beacon Mill is only one part of the investment case. The second is the Swanson Gold Deposit, located in the southern Abitibi Gold Belt approximately 50 kilometres from the mill. Swanson has continued to grow through successive drill programs, with each campaign adding to the geological understanding of the deposit.

The updated Mineral Resource Estimate released in February 2026 outlines an Indicated Resource of 2.96 million tonnes grading 1.69 g/t gold for 160,300 contained ounces, together with an Inferred Resource of 1.08 million tonnes grading 1.93 g/t gold for an additional 66,800 ounces. Combined, the resource now exceeds 227,000 ounces.

The updated estimate represents a 30% increase in Indicated ounces compared with the previous resource, while the Inferred category expanded by 626% over the 2021 historical estimate following the incorporation of additional drilling. Those increases suggest the deposit continues to expand as exploration advances.

Recent drilling also indicates that mineralization extends beyond the current resource model and outside the proposed pit shell. The geological picture continues to evolve as drilling expands the known mineralized system both at depth and along strike, positioning the project well for future resource growth.

The company brought these assets together in March 2026 with the release of a Preliminary Economic Assessment outlining a vertically integrated mine-to-mill development strategy. Under the plan, ore from Swanson would be transported by truck and CN Rail to the Beacon Mill for processing.

Using a base-case gold price of US$2,750 per ounce—well below current spot prices in the US$4,000 range—the PEA generated an after-tax Net Present Value (5%) of C$101 million and an after-tax Internal Rate of Return of 65%, based on initial capital expenditures of just C$31 million and a payback period of 1.8 years. The projected all-in sustaining cost of US$1,569 per ounce provides substantial operating margins at current gold prices, and the company has indicated production could begin as early as late 2026.

Investor Takeaway

The valuation metrics continue to stand out. An independent assessment values the replacement cost of the Beacon Gold Mill and its tailings facility at approximately C$71.5 million. The Preliminary Economic Assessment outlines an after-tax NPV of C$101 million using conservative gold price assumptions that remain well below today’s spot market. Yet LaFleur’s market capitalization currently sits at approximately C$40 million, depending on share price movement.

Viewed together, those figures suggest the market is assigning relatively little value to the Swanson Gold Deposit despite its growing resource base, expanding exploration potential and integration with a fully permitted processing facility.

Several of the key development milestones have already been achieved. LaFleur owns a fully permitted mill that has been recently refurbished and is approaching production. The Swanson deposit has been defined through extensive drilling by multiple operators over many years and continues to expand with ongoing exploration. The company has secured the capital required to complete the mill restart, while a potential strategic financing and offtake agreement with Trafigura could support future production growth.

Combined with a historically strong gold price environment, LaFleur has assembled a combination of infrastructure, resource growth, funding and near-term production potential that is uncommon among junior gold companies.
